ProtonUp-Qt v2.15 Adds dwproton and Fixes Lutris Wine-GE Directory

ProtonUp-Qt, the open-source graphical tool that simplifies installing and updating Proton-GE and other Wine-based compatibility layers, has released version 2.15.
Designed to help Linux gamers run Windows-only titles on their favorite distributions, the application now adds support for dwproton — a custom Proton build focused on bleeding-edge compatibility with additional patches and fixes beyond standard Proton releases. With this update, users can install and manage dwproton alongside Proton-GE, Wine-GE, TKG builds, Luxtorpeda, Boxtron, and SteamTinkerLaunch.
What’s fixed in 2.15
- Kron4ek builds have been corrected, restoring the option to choose between amd64 and wow64 variants.
- The GE-Proton installation path for Lutris has been fixed and now correctly points to
runners/wine. - Various general improvements and bug fixes related to compatibility tool management.
ProtonUp-Qt continues to cater to gaming handhelds and consoles, offering built-in gamepad support for a smoother experience on devices beyond traditional desktops.
Version 2.15 is currently available as an AppImage, with the Flathub release expected shortly. Users opting for the AppImage can download it, make it executable (chmod +x ProtonUp-Qt*.AppImage), and run it directly.
