Veeam released the new Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 8.1.2.180 version with some enhancements and resolved issues. After installing this release, the new build number will be 8.1.2.180.

• Faster SharePoint and OneDrive backups – optimized how throttled requests are handled:
  • reduced wait times for retries if your SharePoint or OneDrive backup requests are throttled.
  • no more prolonged retry attempts during extended throttling events.
• Smarter processing queues – enhanced logic now prioritizes items, ensuring your SharePoint and OneDrive jobs aren’t bogged down by excessive failed items.
• Blazing-Fast SharePoint restores – opening a restore session in Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SharePoint is now up to 10 times faster.
• API performance boosts.
• Improved Security Logging – updates to shared keys (related to object storage credentials and encryption) are now clearly logged in product records.
