EndeavourOS has released Titan Neo (2026.04.27 ISO), a refreshed installation image for its Arch-based distribution, arriving about six weeks after the original Titan release.
This update is aimed strictly at new installations. Existing EndeavourOS users don’t need to reinstall, as regularly updated systems (sudo pacman -Syu) already receive the latest packages through the rolling-release model.
The updated live environment and offline installer include newer core components such as Calamares 26.03, Plasma 6.6.4, KDE Gear 26.04, Firefox 150, Linux kernel 6.19.14 (which updates to 7.0.3 after installation), Mesa 26.0, Xorg Server 21.1.22, and NVIDIA Utils 595.58.03.
Titan Neo also fixes an issue with eos-settings packages, which were previously applied after user creation. With this release, default configuration files are now correctly set during installation.
Some cleanup has been done as well. The XFCE offline installation option no longer includes xfce4-datetime-plugin, as it has been removed from the repositories. Printing support has also been streamlined, with the splix package removed from the CUPS-related netinstall option.
For KDE Plasma installations using proprietary NVIDIA drivers, the distribution has switched from SDDM to the Plasma Login Manager, improving compatibility with NVIDIA’s driver stack.
Looking ahead, the EndeavourOS team has hinted at its next major release, Triton, which is expected to introduce new desktop and window manager options while phasing out some existing ones.
Titan Neo is available now from the official EndeavourOS website, and the full announcement provides additional details for those interested.
